Week 4 Things 8 and 9

This visit to work with our illustrious librarian bloggers on RSS feeds was an eye-opening experience. I am amazed that so few people currently utilize RSS feeds because they don't even know what they do. They are a free way to gain the information that YOU want all on one list of personalized selected blogs and websites. I selected most of my sites from Topix. for current news and Google search to find sites that I already liked and were closer to home, such as movie listings, and more. Thanks to our more computer savvy helpers, we are "trained" RSS users who have feeds galore at our fingertips!

Week 3 Thing 5

This is my first costumed "character" visit at my elementary school library. I was happy to entertain the kids and present facts on Pirates, show a short puppet show and engaged the group in the activities. This was all done with pirate themed music in the background. The experience was enjoyed by kids, staff and the Pirate as well!

Week# 2, Thing# 3 Creating my Blog Site

I am now part of the blogging scene. I find this fun so far, and forgive me in advance if the background template keeps changing with the seasons. I am testing them to find the one that best suits my personality. I look forward to adding my avatar and other features to my blog site.

Week# 1, Thing# 1 I am a blogger now!

I am ready for an exciting technology adventure of a lifetime. I hope to lgain a lot of teachable lessons using the best and brightest technology online. Join me on this journey and please comment when you have shared an experience on a technology venue that I have explored. Thank you for your attention and your strong sense of collaboration within the blog world. I viewed the 7 1/2 Habits in a Highly Successful Lifelong Learner lesson today and took extensive notes. This lesson gave me guidelines to start learning and expanding my technology horizons. I can't wait to share my ideas with my colleagues!
